Stop Counting Gigabytes. Start Moving Data.

Most cloud migrations do not fail because the files are hard to move. They stall because the tool around them is built for small jobs. A free plan runs out of monthly transfer quota halfway through a folder. A paid plan prices by user or by gigabyte, so a bigger move means a bigger bill. A feature you need, like bulk mapping or version history, sits on a higher tier.

DT Cloud Storage Migrator Tool was built so none of that happens. The licensed version has no data size limit. Every feature ships in the same build: preview, filters, CSV mapping, version migration, scheduling, incremental runs and full job reports. Every account path is supported, and every cloud works as a source or a destination. One tool covers the whole job from first sign-in to final report, so there is nothing to add on, upgrade or work around. A freelancer moving one folder and an IT team moving a department get the identical, complete product.

All Four Account Paths, Fully Supported

Cloud moves are rarely just "Provider A to Provider B". The type of account on each side changes who owns the data, who needs to approve access and how the result should be organized. This tool treats all four combinations as normal migration paths.

Migration pathTypical situationWhat you do
Personal to personalLeaving one provider for another, or merging two private accountsSign in to both accounts, preview, map and run
Personal to businessMoving your own files into a company OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Workspace driveConnect your personal account as source and the company account as destination
Business to personalAn employee keeping authorized work files, or a team member moving a project outConnect the work account as source and the private account as destination
Business to businessCompany to company, tenant to tenant, or Google Workspace to Microsoft 365Connect both business accounts and map by account, drive or folder

The same steps apply in every row. You never switch tools, and you never learn a separate process for a different account type. Only move data you are authorized to move: business sources should be migrated with your organization's approval.

Cross-Provider and Same-Provider Moves in Every Path

Each of the four paths works two ways. You can move between different providers, or between two accounts on the same provider. Business to business is covered in both forms, so a switch from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 and a move from one Microsoft 365 organization to another run through the same tool.

Account pathCross-provider exampleSame-provider example

Personal to businessPersonal Dropbox to company SharePointPersonal OneDrive to OneDrive for Business
Business to personalBusiness Google Drive to personal pCloudWork OneDrive to personal OneDrive
Business to businessGoogle Workspace drive to Microsoft 365 OneDrive or SharePointOne Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace organization to another

Cross-provider and same-provider moves are both fully supported. Whichever cell of this table your project falls in, the 8 screens stay the same.

15+ Clouds, Personal and Business

Use any supported cloud as a source or a destination, including two accounts on the same provider. Where a provider offers both personal and business accounts, both are supported.

The Complete Migration Workflow: Eight Screens, Nothing Hidden

Every migration follows the same eight screens. You always know where you are, what comes next and what is about to happen to your data.

Screen 1: Dashboard

The dashboard is your starting point. From here you begin a new migration job, review the accounts you have connected and reopen earlier jobs and their reports. Because everything is job based, one migration can carry several accounts, drives or buckets at once instead of running one account at a time. Whether you are moving a single folder or a full company drive, the dashboard keeps the work organized in one place.

Screen 2: Mode Selection

Choose the type of migration you need for the job. You can select personal or business mode. If you select business mode, there are two additional options available: cross migration to move data between different platforms, or same migration to move data within a single platform.

Screen 3: Source Authentication

Choose the cloud you are moving data from and sign in. The tool connects through the provider's own secure OAuth sign in page, with multi factor authentication supported wherever the provider offers it. Your cloud password is never typed into or stored by the tool. Pick a personal or business account, add as many source accounts as the job needs and manage them together. You can disconnect access from your provider's security settings at any time.

Screen 4: Preview

Before a single file moves, you see exactly what is there. Browse the full folder tree and per file details: size, created date, modified date and drive type. Then narrow the scope. Filter by file extension, date range, folder type or file size so only the data you actually need is included. Nothing is committed on this screen, so you can explore and adjust freely. It is the cheapest insurance in any migration.

Screen 5: Destination Authentication

Now choose where the data is going and sign in the same secure way. The destination can be a different provider or a second account on the same provider, and it can be personal or business. Browse the destination's existing structure so you know where things will land. Moving from Google Drive into a company SharePoint library, or from a business OneDrive into a private pCloud, is the same two sign ins.

Screen 6: Mapping

Mapping decides which source goes to which destination. For a small job, map accounts, drives or folders manually in a few clicks. For a larger one, upload a CSV file and map dozens or hundreds of accounts in a single step. This is the screen that saves IT teams days: a company wide move that would take hundreds of manual selections becomes one file and one upload.

Screen 7: Configure Migration

Set the rules for the run. Decide what happens when a file already exists at the destination: skip it, rename the incoming copy so both exist, or replace the existing file. Turn on version migration to carry file history across, not just the latest copy. Choose a one time run, an incremental run that transfers only new or changed files, or a schedule that repeats hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. Adjust thread count and item thread count to match your internet speed and PC.

Screen 8: Migration

This is the live screen. Watch the job run directly between your source and destination clouds, with the original folder structure preserved. If your connection drops or you pause the job, the transfer resumes where it stopped instead of starting over. When the run ends, you get a detailed job report split into failed items, filtered items and already migrated items, exportable for your records. Nothing happens silently.

Who Gets the Most From This Tool

Individuals switching clouds

You are changing providers and want every file, folder and version to arrive without downloading anything first.

Freelancers and small teams

You are merging accounts or handing a client project from one cloud to another, and you do not want a monthly quota to stop the job halfway.

IT admins

You are moving a department or a whole company, with CSV mapping for bulk accounts and a report for every run.

Companies consolidating storage

Business-to-business moves between organization accounts, with predictable cost because the tool does not charge by the gigabyte.

Before You Migrate: A Five-Point Checklist

  • 1.

Confirm you are authorized to move the data, especially on business accounts.

  • 2.

Clean duplicates first so you do not move the same file twice. The DT Cloud Duplicate File Finder can do this directly on your cloud.

  • 3.

Check free space and plan limits on the destination.

  • 4.

Decide your duplicate rule in advance: skip, rename or replace.

  • 5.

Run a small filtered test job first, then the full migration.

MFA works wherever your provider supports it.

Files move between the two clouds. They are not downloaded to your computer and not stored by Data TB.

The application runs on your own Windows PC, so keep it running while a job or schedule is active.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to migrate between personal and business cloud accounts?

Use a migration tool that supports both account types on each side. In DT Cloud Storage Migrator, you sign in to the source and destination, choose personal or business for each, preview the data, map it and run the job. All four paths use the same 8 screens.

Can I migrate from a personal account to a business account?

Yes. Connect your personal cloud as the source and the company drive, such as OneDrive for Business or SharePoint, as the destination. Preview your files, map them to the right library or folder and start the job.

Can I migrate from a business account to a personal account?

Yes, as long as you are authorized to move that data. Connect the work account as the source and your private cloud as the destination. Many organizations require approval first, so check your policy.

Does it support business to business migration?

Yes. Connect both organization accounts and map by account, drive or folder. For many accounts, upload a CSV to map them all in one step.

Can I migrate business to business across different providers and within the same provider?

Yes, both. Move from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, or from one Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace organization to another. Connect both business accounts, map by account, drive or folder, and run the job. The workflow is identical for cross-provider and same-provider moves.

Does it download my files to my computer?

No. Files transfer directly between the source and destination clouds. Nothing is downloaded to your device and no local copy is left behind.

Is there a data size limit?

The licensed version has no limit on total data or file size. The free trial processes up to 500 MB and files under 20 MB so you can test safely.

Which cloud storage services are supported?

Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, SharePoint, Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, Backblaze B2, pCloud, Mega, Nextcloud, DigitalOcean Spaces, Proton Drive, Yandex Disk, TeraBox and FTP or SFTP servers.

Can I move between two accounts on the same provider?

Yes. One Google Drive account to another, or one OneDrive account to another, works the same as a move between two different providers.

Can I preview and filter what moves?

Yes. The Preview screen shows folders and file details. You can filter by extension, date range, folder type and file size before anything is transferred.

What happens if a file already exists at the destination?

You choose before the run: skip the file, rename the incoming copy so both exist, or replace the existing one.

Does it migrate version history?

Yes. Version migration carries a file's history across with its current version.

Can I schedule a migration?

Yes. Run it once, run it incrementally so only new or changed files move, or schedule it hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.

What if the migration is interrupted?

The transfer resumes from where it stopped. You do not start the whole job again.

How is this different from the DT Cloud Drive Migration Tool?

The core engine and features are the same. This page focuses on the four personal and business account paths and the eight-screen workflow. See the Cloud Drive Migration Tool page for the general cloud-to-cloud overview.
