Your Data. Your Device. Your Control.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Effective date: June 2026
About This Policy
Data TB™ ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what we don't do with it - in plain English, without burying important things in legal jargon.
If you use any Data TB™ desktop application, SDK, or website, this policy applies to you.
The Short Version
Your files never touch our servers. Every desktop app and SDK processes data locally on your own device.
We don't sell your data. Ever. Not to advertisers. Not to partners. Not to anyone.
We collect minimal website data. Only what's needed to run the site and improve our products.
You're in control. You can request deletion of any personal data we hold at any time.
Read the full policy below for details.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Give Us Directly
When you purchase a license, contact support, or sign up for updates, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Billing address
- Payment information (processed by our payment provider — we never store card details directly)
- Order and license information
- Messages and support requests you send us
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit datatbs.com, standard web data is collected automatically:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring URL (how you found us)
- Cookies (see Section 5)
This data is used in aggregate - to understand how the site is used and improve it. It is not used to identify you individually.
1.3 What We Do NOT Collect
This is important — especially for users of our desktop apps and SDKs.
We do not collect, receive, store, or process:
- Any files you convert, migrate, back up, or recover using our tools
- Any email content, attachments, or mailbox data processed by our apps
- Any source code, assemblies, or intellectual property processed by our obfuscation tools
- Any credentials, OAuth tokens, or passwords you use to connect cloud accounts within our apps
All desktop app and SDK processing happens entirely on your own device. Data goes from your source to your destination - our servers are never in that path.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used only for:
- Processing your purchase and delivering your license
- Sending order confirmations and license keys
- Responding to support requests
- Sending product updates or announcements (only if you opt in)
- Improving our website and products based on aggregated usage data
- Complying with legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted third parties who help us operate - and only the minimum data required:
Payment Processors
e.g. Stripe, PayPal — to handle transactions securely. They have their own privacy policies and are PCI-DSS compliant.
Email Service Providers
To send order confirmations and support replies.
Analytics Providers
Aggregated, anonymized website usage data only.
Legal Requirements
If required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information as legally obligated.
All third-party providers are contractually bound to keep your data confidential and use it only for the service they provide to us.
4. Data Storage & Security
Personal data we collect (name, email, purchase records) is stored on secured servers with access controls, encryption at rest, and regular security reviews.
We retain your purchase and account data for as long as necessary to provide your license and comply with legal and tax obligations - typically up to 7 years for financial records.
Support communications are retained for up to 2 years.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time - see Section 7.
